Product Care
Pearls
Pearls are organic gemstones and require special care to maintain their radiance. Since they are more delicate than diamonds and gemstones, pearls should be stored separately in a soft cloth pouch or lined jewelry box to avoid scratches and drying out. Do not store pearls in airtight containers, as they require a bit of natural moisture to maintain their luster.
To clean pearls, gently wipe them with a soft, damp cloth after each wear to remove natural oils, sweat, or cosmetics. Never use harsh chemicals, detergents, or ultrasonic cleaners, as these can strip the nacre and damage the surface. If a deeper clean is needed, use lukewarm water and mild soap, but avoid soaking pearls.
Pearls should be the last accessory you put on and the first you take off. Keep them away from perfume, hairspray, and makeup as these substances can dull their shine. When wearing pearl necklaces, ensure they are regularly restrung with knots between each pearl to prevent damage from friction.
Diamonds
Diamonds are renowned for their durability, but proper care ensures their brilliance lasts for generations. To prevent scratching, store diamond jewelry separately, as diamonds are the hardest natural material and can scratch other gemstones or metals. The best storage option is the original jewelry box or a soft fabric pouch.
For cleaning, use warm soapy water and a soft brush to remove dirt, oils, and residue. Avoid harsh detergents or alcohol-based cleaners. Rings should be cleaned frequently to maintain their sparkle and remove trapped debris behind the setting. While diamonds are incredibly hard, it is best to remove them when engaging in strenuous activities to prevent potential damage to the setting.
Gemstones
Gemstones require careful handling to maintain their natural beauty. Avoid abrasive surfaces and sudden impact to prevent chipping or scratches. Store each piece separately, preferably in its original box or a soft-lined pouch, to avoid friction between stones.
Cleaning methods vary by gemstone type. A soft, lint-free cloth is ideal for regular maintenance. Since some gemstones are sensitive to water and chemical solutions, avoid using soap, liquid cleaners, or harsh chemicals unless specifically advised. Gold & Platinum
To maintain the luster of gold and platinum jewelry, use a non-abrasive jewelry cleaner and gently polish with a soft cloth. Store gold separately from other metals to prevent tarnishing and discoloration. 18K white gold and platinum rings may require periodic re-polishing, depending on wear.
Gold jewelry should never come into contact with bleach, as it can cause severe discoloration and even weaken the metal. Additionally, avoid wearing gold and platinum jewelry while swimming, as chlorinated water can erode the surface. Perfumes, hairsprays, and cleaning agents can also damage gold, so always remove jewelry before applying such products. Since precious metals can dent and scratch, we recommend removing gold and platinum pieces before engaging in strenuous activities.
By following these care guidelines, your jewelry will remain timeless and elegant for years to come. For any further inquiries, our Customer Service team is always available to assist.
